An environmental morality tale, mixing The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes with the Fenian cycle in Irish mythology.  Finneces High School’s academic quiz bowl team is the worst in the county, a county were for some reason, athletics are so lacking, the academic quiz bowl is a big deal.  Their worst player is taken by his old Irish grandfather on a fishing trip, and discovers a stream running with salmon, which when eaten, give you all the knowledge of the world.  He uses the salmon, mostly in salmon salad sandwiches to lead his team to the county finals, but learns from his grandfather, he’s over-fished the stream, and now no one will ever again possess all the knowledge in the world.  Until they discover some salmon spawns, and start a salmon of knowledge fish farm.  Little did they know, a few miles away was a ecologically stable pond full of the catfish of common sense.
